After initial opposition, eager Elon strikes deal with the board of Twitter to acquire the platform for $44 billion (approx $64 billion AUS).
As polarising as Elon may be (some people look up to Elon because of his great business sense and the courage to implement futuristic technology, others despise him due to his alleged manipulation of cryptocurrency markets (and other greedy feats such as non-fulfilled promises)), his ideas for that platform seem progressive and I for one think they will bring a lot of good to an underutilized platform (albeit with great potential).
Firstly, free speech will be given proper priority (as it always should have) and the platform will ease ridiculous restrictions on posted content. This will allow more authentic content and ideas to be shared as opposed to corporate-controlled content.
Editing will be enabled, allowing users to correct mistakes and eradicate errors. Unfortunately, we are all human and subject to human error, even the best of us can make mistakes from time to time.
Crypto scams will be scrutinized and hopefully eventually eliminated. The ironic part is that Elon plans to use the Crypto network itself to combat the crypto scams. NFT’s will be utilized to verify identities so that fake fabricated profiles can be spotted.
Algorithms will be altered to allow for complete transparency and allow for an enhanced experience for all users.
Love him or hate him, we think this will be a beneficial relationship for the Twitter platform, what are your thoughts?
